This is one of the best trails in L.A. no doubt. It has lots of beautiful views and has a lot choices moving forward when you reach the top. It’s extra cool cause there are ruins all along the trail.

To get here look for the Cobb Estate Trailhead, it’s hard to miss because it’s on a corner. Once you see this gate you just find parking.

From there you’ll enter the old Cobb Estate, just keep following the path and go straight, you’ll see a little sign to the Sam Merill Trail. You want to go down into a small ravine which will set you on the right path for the trail.

There are lots of amazing views, here you can see downtown LA in the distance.

At the top you can see the old railroad house, feels like a real stairway to heaven.
